Ben Delia

Ben Delia has been involved in competitive athletics as an athlete and coach for over 20 years. Raised in a swimming and running household in upstate New York, Ben grew up making an annual pilgrimage to Boston each April to watch his father compete in the Boston Marathon. Ben competed as a swimmer and runner through high school, and found success at the state, regional, and national levels. He then went on to be an all-conference swimmer in college, while earning BA and MA degrees in economics. Ben is currently certified as a Level 2 coach with the American Swimming Coaches Association and has been a USA Triathlon certified coach for several years. Ben is the head swimming coach at Randolph-Macon College in Virginia, where he also serves as the director of the Randolph-Macon Competitive Swimming Camp and Clinics.

Ben has worked with swimmers, runners, cyclists, and triathletes of all ability levels during his coaching career. He has coached record setting collegiate swimmers, conference champions, USA Triathlon national championship qualifiers, overall and age group winners, and Boston Marathon qualifiers. Above all else, Ben loves coaching because it allows him to help athletes achieve their goals and redefine what they are capable of accomplishing.

As a triathlete himself, Ben has been recognized as a USA Triathlon Honorable Mention All-American on several occasions. He has won numerous races, been a top ten finisher at USA Triathlon Sprint Nationals, and currently competes among the elite amateur triathletes on the east coast.
