Welcome to the May 7th edition of the Pacific Elite Fitness Newsletter!
As you may recall, just 3 weeks ago I sent out an e-mail that offered to provide a free metabolic, personal training, and nutrition program at my clinic in Spokane, WA to one lucky individual.
Turns out, I selected one male and one female.
Next week, I'll include blurry-faced pictures of these brave souls, and over the next few newsletters, I'll be outlining their initial test results, their progress, their workouts, and the details of their program - while keeping them completely anonymous. This series of articles will be entitled: Total Body Transformation.

Total Body Transformation: Article 1
Let's first meet our candidates for the 2007 Total Body Transformation.
- Subject 1 is a 28 year old female, with 40.8% body fat. She will be called Patricia. Several years ago, she was lean and athletic. But in the past 2 years, she has gained massive amounts of weight and experienced frustration, confusion, and lack of direction on how to counter this life-destroying morph of her body. She has been to countless physicians and personal trainers, experimented with multiple exercise programs, and attempted various medically prescribed diets, including an 800 calorie liquid diet. This is her final, desperate attempt for her life to be normal again.
- Subject 2 is a 33 year old male, with 25.8% body fat. He will be called Zach. He has a history of athleticism, sports, and fitness, but has recently let himself slide, and is now out of shape, unhealthy, overweight and anxious for a solution. He does not know anything about eating healthy, but he does have a goal to complete a triathlon at the end of the summer. Zach's final vision is to be as ripped as a magazine cover model, and my challenge is getting him there in 365 days.
- Two weeks ago, both subjects underwent a full evaluation at my downtown clinic, including a one hour consultation, a resting metabolic rate test, an exercise metabolic rate test, body fat testing, postural evaluation, strength and endurance testing, and nutritional profiling.
- Based on the results of their initial examination, customized workouts and diet plans were designed and implemented. Over the next month, they will be meeting with me once a week to learn new exercises, review diet implementation, re-test measurements, and ask questions.
