Online personal training and coaching offers enormous potential for a wide demographic. It is a convenient method for large organizations or frequent travelers to quickly and efficiently access packaged and scheduled workouts with exercise photos and instructions. Competitive athletes, teams, and bodybuilders are able to affordably access coaching information that is customized to specific needs and goals. Individuals who desire to lose body fat, increase lung capacity, or strengthen weak muscles are offered an opportunity to achieve these goals as quickly as possible with customized workouts. In addition to online training, Pacific Elite Fitness offers full phone and e-mail support.

-------

Virtual training offers you seamless interaction with your coach and training system. It’s like purchasing a book or resource, opening it up, and having the coach’s voice talking to you straight out of the book. Any athlete, with unlimited time and motivation, could go out and determine how to design a training program that has some degree of potential to achieve as much success as a program that Pacific Elite Fitness creates for them. But the value of a personal, live coach becomes readily apparent when a workout is missed due to family obligations, when nagging joint inflammation limits range of motion, when the heart rate training response appears irregular, when the pre or post-workout recovery nutrition does not appear to be working, and when a host of other environmental variables “mess up” the structured format of a training program. This is the extra step an athlete invests in – the ability to turn to a coach at any time to provide an educated, expert solution.

-------

Beginning and intermediate athletes usually train too much, too hard. Once proper heart rate training values are determined, which is achieved through the use of testing and observation of heart rate response to training, an athlete can achieve the desired effect of a training protocol without spending the typical amount of time performing “junk” training sessions or overtraining. Through the use of periodization, or splitting the training weeks, months, and year into proper intensities and volumes, athletes can perform minimal training with maximal results. Many Pacific Elite Fitness Ironman triathletes train 8-10 hours a week for Ironman distance with great success, while their competitors train 15-20 hours per week, with nearly half of that volume spent performing junk miles that make no sense from a performance or recovery perspective!

-------

The most unique aspect of the training programs designed by Pacific Elite Fitness is that they are just that: unique. Many coaches literally scan pages from a training book and send them to the athlete, or design a “generic” training program that is then filtered to 10 different athletes, each with different needs. When training with Pacific Elite Fitness, you fill out a series of forms and questionnaires that determine your personal athletic profile. Your program is then designed and modified over the course of several weeks as your coach becomes familiar with your schedule, limitations, desired and recommended races and training capacities.
